On the auspicious occasion of Mahanavami, Samaj Seva Bharati Paschimbanga organized a special Navadurga Puja at its Kudghat office on 23rd October 2023 . In a unique and spiritually enriching initiative, 22 women from 7 different service slums—belonging to backward and marginalized communities—were worshipped as incarnations of Navadurga.
The puja was conducted with full traditional rituals, creating a sacred and inspiring atmosphere that emphasized the divine power and dignity of womanhood.

Shri Ramapada Pal, Pracharak of Purva Kshetra, addressed the gathering and said:
“Attacks on women have existed since the Vedic times. Whenever women were oppressed, Maa Adyashakti appeared in her fierce form as the destroyer of evil. Even today, atrocities and violence against women continue in society. We must collectively rise to spread awareness and eliminate this injustice. Through this Navadurga Puja, Samaj Seva Bharati has taken a praiseworthy step by honoring women as divine beings and awakening society through respect and worship.”
