Samaj Seva Bharati Paschimbanga, committed to the philosophy of selfless service, has been actively implementing grassroots development projects across West Bengal. These projects focus on the all-round development of underprivileged communities, particularly in urban slums and rural/tribal regions. Shishu Sanskar Kendra
Locations: Kharagpur, Jhargram
Coverage: 44 villages
Beneficiaries:700 children/year
Objective:
To inculcate moral values, cultural awareness, and basic education among children from marginalized communities through informal and value-based education.
Key Activities:
- Daily moral and spiritual lessons
- Bhajan, storytelling, Sanskrit slokas
- Basic literacy and numeracy
- Celebration of festivals and national events
Impact:
- Strengthened moral foundation of rural children
- Improved discipline and social behavior
- Community participation in child development



Swasth Sevika Training |
Swasth Prakalpa
Locations: Kolkata & Howrah (Sewa Basti Areas)
Coverage: 30 urban slum areas
Beneficiaries: 3600 women and families/year
Objective:
To empower local women as health volunteers (Sevikas) who provide basic health awareness, first-aid services, and guidance on hygiene and nutrition.

Door-to-door health awareness
First-aid and basic health services
Nutritional counseling for mothers and children
Referral to government hospitals
